Quality Technicians are responsible for ensuring that product quality aligns with predetermined standards. This includes strength, thickness, weight, absorption, appearance and other such qualities.

Responsibilities

  • You will makes subjective determinations based on visual appearance of materials.
  • You will perform required testing, review test results and determine compliance to specification limits and retest limits.
  • You will report results ensuring that production is aware of any out of limit conditions.
  • You will assist with the collection and preparation of micro test samples.
  • You will test and determine usability of raw materials and release acceptable raw material for production.
  • You will prepare and coordinate trial runs including interfacing with Production, Process Engineering, Product Development and Sales/Marketing.
  • You will maintains records and charts using statistical techniques for analysis.
  • You will monitor and calibrate all testing equipment to ensure all parameters are set to required settings and troubleshoots any non-compliances.
  • You will train fellow team members on testing equipment and procedures.
  • You will maintain housekeeping expectations and conduct housekeeping audits and reports findings.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent with some college or advanced experience or training preferred
  • Two or more years of laboratory experience or six months working in a nonwoven manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent computer skills with high competency in MS Office
  • Knowledge of SAP, APS, WMS preferred
  • Must be a team player
  • Excellent communication skills, written and oral
  • Ability to work independently as needed
