Overview

The Marketing and Sustainability Director will be responsible for developing and executing strategic marketing plans to drive brand awareness, customer engagement, and revenue growth, while also championing sustainability initiatives within the organization. This role requires a dynamic leader with a deep understanding of market trends, consumer behavior, digital marketing strategies, and sustainable practices. The Marketing and Sustainability Director will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive and effective marketing efforts across all channels, while promoting and integrating sustainability into the company's operations and culture. This position will also have global responsibilities, ensuring that marketing and sustainability strategies are aligned and implemented across all regions.

Responsibilities

· Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies to achieve business objectives.

· Lead and manage the marketing team, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities.

· Oversee the creation and execution of marketing campaigns, including digital, social media, email, and traditional marketing channels.

· Analyze market trends and consumer behavior to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.

· Collaborate with product management, sales, and other departments to ensure alignment and consistency in messaging and branding.

· Manage the marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and maximizing ROI.

· Monitor and report on the effectiveness of marketing initiatives, using data-driven insights to optimize performance.

· Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, and industry influencers.

· Champion sustainability initiatives within the marketing department and across the organization.

· Develop and implement strategies to promote sustainable practices and reduce the environmental impact of marketing activities.

· Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in sustainability and integrate them into marketing strategies.

· Ensure that marketing and sustainability strategies are aligned and implemented across all regions, taking into account local market dynamics and regulatory requirements.

· Foster a culture of collaboration and knowledge sharing across global teams to drive innovation and best practices.

Qualifications

· Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA preferred.

· Proven experience in a senior marketing role, with a track record of successful marketing campaigns and initiatives.

· Strong leadership and team management skills.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

· Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms.

· Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.

· Creative thinker with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement.

· Demonstrated experience in leading sustainability initiatives and promoting sustainable practices within an organization.

· Familiarity with sustainability legislation, including Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) laws, truth-in-labeling laws, and other relevant regulations.

· Experience in managing global marketing and sustainability initiatives, with an understanding of regional market dynamics and regulatory requirements.

· Proven experience in managing remote teams, with the ability to foster a sense of community, build an inclusive culture, and ensure productivity and engagement in a virtual work environment.

 

Preferred:

· Experience in the B2B nonwovens, textiles, and/or related markets.

· Knowledge of CRM systems and marketing automation tools.

· Familiarity with SEO, SEM, and content marketing strategies.
