The Site Controller will provide accounting leadership for the mill and will be responsible for assuring the overall integrity and effectiveness of the accounting function. Site Controller must ensure that all accounting and reporting is accurate, timely and that appropriate financial controls are in place and in compliance with all government regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Acting as the Financial Adviser / Business Partner to Site leadership and providing management with all financial analysis necessary to run the operation daily and maximize site profitability.
  • Evaluating operating cost, creating & valuing financial metric with proper visibility and championing cost control efforts.
  • Providing the leadership, motivation and training to maintain a level of expertise and harmony within the department necessary to meet demanding requirements including cost accounting, cost and financial analysis, commercial support, forecasting, budgeting and internal controls.
  • Ensuring conformity to all company accounting requirements and providing all reporting and management information to relevant personnel in line with site and corporate deadlines.
  • Overseeing and developing a financial management system with strong internal controls and compliance monitoring, to protect the company’s assets, and meeting all requirements associated with SOX Act.
  • Evaluating long and short term strategies and providing recommendations and advising on consequences of certain actions / business decisions.
  • Collaborating within a team environment to optimize profitability and maintain controls.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelors degree in a business administration discipline (preferably accounting) is required. CPA, MBA or equivalent advanced degree is desirable.
  • 10 years of progressively challenging financial management experience in a process manufacturing setting.
  • Wide-based knowledge of SAP Modules and or JD Edwards, preferably in S4 Hana; Experience leveraging ERP systems and information databases. Proficient use of Microsoft Office Software Applications
  • Functional financial skills to include budget preparation, financial forecasting, financial analysis, commercial support, and performance assessment.
  • Solid understanding of US GAAP and a SOX compliant operating environment
  • Thorough knowledge of current accounting methods and practices, particularly related to cost and management accounting but also covering other areas of financial management.
  • Recent or current plant controllership responsibility or active assistance
