Responsibilities

Position Summary

 

Drives the development and execution of both short and long term strategies for REEMAY product line under Infrastructure & Specialties Division within Magnera Corporation.  The incumbent works closely with segment/functional leaders, sales personnel, R&D, and manufacturing to assist in driving overall product line profitability.

 

Primary Job Functions

Product Line Profitability

  • Lifecycle management of complex product line
  • Work with finance and sales to develop new product/customer proposals
  • Manage pricing strategies and monitor channel conflict.
  • Champion cost reduction projects to reduce margin erosion on mature products.
  • Keep abreast of changes in equipment/process technology to improve cost position.
  • Work closely with Supply Chain function in order to understand raw material trends and overcome supply challenges
  • Provide growth & cost analytics to support business case development

 

Support of Existing Business

  • Lead cross-functional team to bring solutions to chronic quality and services issues.
  • Work with commercial, operations and supply chain team to define service requirements.
  • Help in setup of new or modified products including defining packaging requirements and art work.
  • Optimize mix to drive optimized utilization and profitability
  • Support daily tech service and sales needs.

 

Strategy

  • Work cross functionally to champion development and execution of REEMAY strategic vision across Pool & Spa, Filtration and other growth segments while gaining high level understanding of competitors and the global market.
  • Identify new business needs, as well as growth opportunities.  Define and develop associated investment plans that are required to support future development.
  • Coordinate market and competitive intelligence.  Collect, analyze and effectively communicate market trends, customer demands and competitor strategies.
  • Visit customers, trade associations and conferences to understand current trends and competitive challenges

Qualifications

Competencies Required

  • Ability to organize, coordinate and direct cross-functional teams; commercial as well as operational
  • Ability to perform category analysis and category management
  • Ability to drive product improvement projects and lead multidisciplinary teams
  • Ability to work effectively with sales leaders and plant sites in order to consistently drive profitable growth

 

Education, Experience, Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field required; Master’s or MBA preferred
  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in Product Management, Finance and/or Product Marketing
  • High proficiency level with MS Office applications required
  • Thorough knowledge of marketing research, financial analysis, and product management techniques
  • Understanding of analytical tools & methodology to benchmark product line performance
  • Solid understanding of business functions:  Sales, Finance, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Sourcing, and Logistics.
  • Proven track record converting data into actionable intelligence to drive improvement
  • Capability to build and foster excellent rapport with commercial, development, and operational teams
  • Team player with ability to influence without direct authority
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work well in high pressure environment
  • Works independently and has the ability to prioritize and multi task
  • Demonstrated meeting facilitation skills
  • Ability to travel required (10-25%)
