Under supervision, is responsible for troubleshooting machinery problems and continuously monitoring electrical and mechanical devices as part of a predictive and preventative maintenance plan. Understands and demonstrates proactive maintenance concepts and employes best maintenance practices. This position is expected to have a significant impact on improvements in run time efficiency.

 

Responsibilities

  • Compete assigned work orders for the day, and document work performed using the internal documentation process.
  • Distribute the shift report at te end of every shift communicating tasks accomplished during the shift.
  • Originate and process urgent work orders when assigned.
  • Perform rounds and complete checklists each shift on the designated production line.
  • Attend daily assigned meetings to assist in identifying priorities for the day.
  • Rapidly respond to urgent priority (prioity1) calls to address the issue in a timely manner.
  • Assist in Root Cause Analysis when involved in the associated failure.
  • Troubleshoot and repair problems with all equipment (production, facilities, auxillary, etc.)
  • Identify electrical and mechanical issues by using available test equipment (meters, meggers, strobe lights, etc.)
  • Repair and/or replace defective electrical or mechanical equipment.
  • Diagnose, analyze, and repair electroic, electro-mechanical, and instrumentation equipment, operating in all areas, utilizing meters, gauges, and other testing methods.
  • Troubleshoot PLC hardware and software.
  • Assist in identifying parts for repairs.
  • Assist in the installation of new equipment and equipment modification projects.
  • Document all modifications made to equipment during repairs.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED and two (2) years of experience working in a similar role with industrial equipment or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
  • Two (2) year technical degree in related area, preferred.
