The HR Assistant is responsible for assisting in the implementation of human resources policies and procedures on employment, recruitment and placement, training and development, employee benefits, timekeeping, and maintenance of 201 files.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates the employment process and performs specific recruitment and placement functions for the timely hiring of qualified applicants for vacant positions.
  • Coordinates with department and section heads on their manpower requirements.
  • Coordinates the screening activities such as scheduling of employment interviews, and obtaining applicants’ documents.
  • Conducts preliminary employee orientation and endorses new employees to their department/section heads to facilitate their integration into the organization.
  • Maintains, organizes and updates the 201 files of all employee documents and records.
  • Keeps records of employee benefits, training and development.
  • Prepares attendance records of all employees from the biometric system, summary of VL/SL/OB/travel and submits to payroll accountant for processing.
  • Coordinates with government agencies like SSS, PHIC, BIR and HDMF and submits data or documents required.
  • Assists in the preparation and submission of monthly reports such as HR Dashboard data, employee data, etc.
  • Assists in the conduct of trainings and development activities.
  • Participates and facilitates company-wide events and committee work.
    • Assists with day-to-day efficient operation of the HR office.
    • Disseminates employee communication and memos.
    • Prepares employment certificates.
    • Assists employees on their inquiries regarding policies, timekeeping, benefits, and the like.
    • Sets up meetings and takes minutes of the meeting as instructed.
  • Prepares travel arrangements for employees and guests.
  • Performs housekeeping activities and maintains cleanliness in the area of assignment.
  • Performs and observes plant policies and procedures and safe working practices at the millsite and meet the Company’s mission of “Injury-Free everyday”.
  • Performs other related duties as may be required from time to time by superiors or may be assigned to other work areas as necessary.

 

 

Qualifications

  • College graduate, preferably with a degree in Human Resource Management, Psychology, or a related field.
  • At least 1 year of experience in human resources or administrative roles, with exposure to recruitment, record-keeping, and employee relations.
