To manage and oversee Resin category.  Develop strategies for short & long-term plans. 

Focusing on cost improvements, market/industry analysis & supply continuity. Maintaining proper inventory levels for the category.

Responsibilities

  • Manage, design and develop procurement strategies for Resin category
  • Proactively seek and execute cost savings projects
  • Act as project manager (develop, manage, and implement) working with cross-functional teams maximizing use of resources to meet project objectives and time lines
  • Support the development of new products in the search for suppliers, selection of suppliers, contract design and price negotiations
  • Providing regular market analyses, benchmark data and supplier evaluations to support planning and management in the categories concerned
  • Responsible for performance reporting – development, coordination and implementation of appropriate reporting systems for the categories concerned
  • Present and complete periodic comprehensive reviews of assigned category portfolio using cost models to validate strategic metrics and results
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to generate project ideas, cost savings opportunities
  • Identify and develop strategies to improve working capital
  • Special Projects and other duties as assigned
  • Travel: approximately 10-20%

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or greater in Business, Finance, Purchasing/Supply Chain preferred
  • 5-10 years Procurement experience
  • Proven experience in the procurement of raw materials, especially polymer or polymer related categories
  • Experience in the selection, preparation and negotiation of commercial contracts
  • Experience in leading high-pressure negotiations
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • High-level problem-solving skills; analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to see big picture and implement solutions
  • Ability to communicate, present to multiple levels throughout organization
