Responsibilities

Reporting to the Training Coordinator, the TA will assist to create, prepare and/or procure training required to meet the needs of the business.  Coordinate with other sites within the region to attain and maintain high standards of training for safety, technical, leadership, and other desired skillsets. 

 

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure all tasks are trained and performed in a safe manner.
  • Actively participate in safety corrective actions that identify training as a need.
  • Champion employee empowerment to identify and address concerns.
  • Assist with the identification of training needs through analysis of data
  • Assist in on-boarding new hires
  • Maintain orderly training activities. Supervise employees participating in training activities.
  • Identify and communicate training issues to Management and other stakeholders. Assist in resolution of issues. 
  • Maintain ISO compliant training records.
  • Ensure new processes and procedures are effectively communicated and appropriate required documentation obtained.
  • Partner with the Human Resources function to ensure effective hiring practices.
  • Partner with the Operations function to ensure appropriate training of new hires
  • Assist with the annual internal recertification process
  • Understand and utilize all ISO procedures.
  • Assist with the ISO compliant data system
  • Ensure the data entry of all completed training into Cornerstone system.
  • Assist with Communication Day and other events requiring training.
  • Assist with the identification and training of subject matter experts to conduct Job Instruction Breakdown of important steps, key points, and reasons.
  • Effectively interact with the all internal functional job levels and with external agencies and resources in order to maximize the effectiveness of the training function.
  • Assist with the development of training and certification processes for each job function based on Job Instruction Breakdown
  • Ensure on-site training based on Job Instruction Breakdown.
  • Prepare training schedules by coordinating instructors, classrooms and locations.
  • Responsible for tracking and reporting site training status.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Associates or Technical degree preferred
  • ASTD Certification preferred
  • Six Sigma (green or black belt) preferred
  • Certified or eligible for certification in CPR/First Aid/BBP
