Responsibilities

JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for supervising all warehouse operations to include material movement of finished goods from the manufacturing site to both 4K and 6T. Supervision of 6T operations include truck unloading, product palletization, truck loading (customer shipments and internal movements) as well as inventory management. Supervision of all personnel within the team including logistics coordinators, material handlers and inventory control.  Position reports to Mega Site Logistics Manager. 

 

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Safely manage warehouses ensuring all warehouse staff and employees follow all safety protocols and complete all required safety training and attend routine safety meetings.
  • Establish / maintain operating schedules and routine practices to ensure on-time customer shipments.
  • Manage the processes and KPIs associated with the shipping and receiving of product to ensure product integrity and order filling accuracy
  • Manage monthly cycle counts
  • Use interpersonal and communication skills to motivate the work force and drive execution of policies and implement corrective measures if necessary to ensure productivity levels are met.
  • Maintain ISO level operation guidelines and metrics
  • Coordinates the training and development of employees. Includes identifying development needs, implementing programs as required, carefully monitoring progress, and coordinating with Logistics Manager.
  • Makes recommendations to management for Continuous Improvement opportunities and instills an entrepreneurial spirit within the company, encouraging the same among direct reports.
  • Must work in accordance with Health and Safety regulations, Company Rules, Plant Rules, policies and procedures
  • Must use or wear equipment, protective devices or certain clothing as required by the company
  • Follows all company policies.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:

  • BS degree in Logistics or Supply Chain preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Proactive, attentive to details, and results oriented.
  • Three years supervisor or management experience in a warehouse environment
  • SAP experience preferred
  • Demonstrated proficiency in the use of standard office machines and computer software including Outlook, Excel, Word, Powerpoint
  • Ability to work outside normal business hours to include evenings, nights, and weekends.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality as needed

Work environment:  While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time; dust; heat; humidity, odors.  The noise level in the work environment varies and hearing protection is required in some work areas.  The employee is frequently exposed to extremely high-speed machinery with open inward turning rolls, extremely hot surface areas and moving lift truck traffic.
