The SAP Analyst will be responsible for process re-engineering, functional and logical system design, configuration, and testing across multiple business processes. The role requires a strong command of functional business processes in the areas of SAP Sales and Distribution, along with an in-depth understanding of related best practices.

 

Key responsibilities include analyzing and optimizing workflows, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring efficient system configuration. Expertise in SAP Sales and Distribution is essential, with additional knowledge in Materials Management, Vendor Management, Procurement, Supply Chain, and Inventory Management being highly desirable.

Responsibilities

· Lead process re-engineering, functional and logical system design, configuration, and testing across assigned business areas.

· Collaborate with IT and business teams to ensure seamless integration of systems and processes.

· Prepare "as-is" and "to-be" process documentation for design and process reviews.

· Translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications for custom transactions, system modifications, interfaces, and enhancements.

· Provide design and data specifications for analytics supporting business processes in your area(s) of responsibility.

· Serve as IT lead on small to medium-sized projects within your area of expertise.

· Work with business analysts and process owners to identify and implement process optimization opportunities.

· Provide day-to-day support for Global SAP applications and related processes within your area of expertise, adjusting hours as needed to support global resources in Asia, Europe, and the Americas.

· Solve complex technical problems and influence solution design discussions with peers, business partners, and stakeholders.

· Participate or lead the evaluation of new SAP releases or alternative software solutions related to your area(s) of expertise. Stay informed by reviewing business and technical literature and collaborating with consultants and user groups.

· Occasional travel (0-5%) may be required within the United States and across Europe for project-related activities.

· Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

· Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with SAP modules.

· Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience supporting Order Entry, Delivery Creation, Shipping, Invoicing, and related master data (Customer, Route Determination, Pricing, Shipment Costs).

· Proven experience in SAP full life-cycle implementations with demonstrated project management capabilities.

· Strong ability to influence and collaborate across all organizational levels, including senior executives.

· Excellent problem-solving skills; able to understand, anticipate, and resolve complex challenges.

· Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex issues to diverse audiences.

· Fluency in English is required; additional language skills are preferred.

· Effective Facilitation Skills: Ability to lead discussions, guide decision-making, and foster collaboration within teams and with stakeholders.

· Analytical Thinking: Demonstrates the ability to break down complex problems systematically, analyze components and their relationships, and choose the appropriate tools or methods for resolution. Reflects on results to learn and improve.

· Business and Technical Acumen: Strong understanding of SAP solutions, IT strategy, and industry best practices in the mill product sector. Able to absorb complex technical information and communicate it effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences. Skilled at assessing risk and understanding the impact of new technologies. Proactively updates skills and keeps abreast of trends and developments in the IT industry.
