The HR Generalist, Corporate supports the administration of all HR related policies and programs including, but not limited to, recruitment, affirmative action / EEO, immigration, employee relations, leave management, compensation, performance management, and talent movement.  In addition, this role serves as a subject matter expert for a variety of HR systems and will heavily support projects and process improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Manages all aspects of the employee lifecycle including recruitment, onboarding and offboarding. Utilizes the applicant tracking system (iCIMS) to manage recruitment, interviews candidates, facilitates interview feedback, partners with compensation and provides recommendations, populates offer letters, coordinates the background check and reference process, and coordinates equipment needs with IT.  Works with hiring managers to develop and update job descriptions as needed.
  • Conducts all new hire onboarding components (candidate correspondence, orientation, policy review, manager action items, IT equipment, onboarding 100-day plan)
  • Oversees the usage of the applicant tracking system (iCIMS) to ensure processes are being followed globally. Ensures compliance with EEO regulations. Collects feedback from HR and hiring managers to determine system and process improvements.  Updates templates such as offer letters, emails, etc. Implements and communicates changes to the system as needed.
  • Collects and validates reports that are needed for external agencies, internal audits and internal reporting. Examples include OSHA, EEO, Affirmative Action, Internal Audit, internal weekly/monthly/quarterly reporting.  Oversees third party vendor relationships and ensures that EEO audits and Affirmative Action Plans are developed on a timely basis for all US locations.
  • Ensures timecards are submitted and approved for the corporate population.
  • Utilizes SAP to process invoices and submits expense reports as needed.
  • Acts as the main corporate contact for internal and external inquiries related to HR processes, policies and systems.
  • Collaborates with global HR partners to provide HR support and manages HR consultations for global functions for positions manager level and below.
  • Supports global mobility and immigration processes for corporate employees. Monitors all active immigration cases (green card, H-1B, F1 and international cases) and ensures all paperwork is completed timely and precisely, in partnership with external counsel.  Researches and escalates cases as needed.  Gathers updated immigration documents from foreign nationals to ensure ICE compliance.
  • Supports talent management programs and initiatives such as development, annual performance appraisals, and succession planning.
  • Creates standard operating procedures (SOP), develops processes and determines improvements for current processes to improve the HR function. Creates, edits and maintains HR corporate policies.
  • Is the first source of information for benefits, payroll, employee leave, military leave, etc.
  • Manages relationships with various HR Vendors and ensures partnerships are productive and meeting business needs. Maintains contracts and negotiates renewals.
  • Provides HR support for US HRIS Systems and partners with HRIT to maintain and improve systems.
  • Supports continuous improvement initiatives and leads initiatives when assigned. Analyzes, recommends, and supports implementation of continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Provides administrative and project support to the HR Director, including spreadsheet and presentation development/maintenance.
  • Executes HR administrative processes such as employment verifications, holiday calendars, organizational charts, employee leave requests, tuition reimbursement, unemployment claims, invoicing, and requests for data.
  • Investigates Hotline complaints and employee relations issues as needed.
  • Maintains accurate employee data in the system and create reports as needed. Processes all new hires, changes and terminations in a timely manner and communicates with the appropriate internal/external stakeholders.
  • Manages Workers’ Compensation and Unemployment Compensation claims in coordination with third party vendors, attends mediation hearings on behalf of the Company as appropriate. Facilitates all leave management processes and communication associated with Short Term Disability, Long Term Disability, and FMLA. Responsible for Corporate OSHA reporting in compliance with federal regulations
  • Manages Human Resources content on the Magnera intranet and SharePoint.
  • Maintains HR records and filing systems. This includes hard copy documents, electronic documents, and off-site filing. Maintains retention of documents such as I-9’s, employment applications, employee change forms, etc.
  • Drafts Human Resources communications as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
