Responsibilities

Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, the Material Planner is responsible for scheduling of Fabrene’s production assets to meet customer needs, manage inventory and develop production schedules that optimize performance while ensuring on time customer delivery. Position is responsible for certain raw material inventory and ordering of cores and packaging materials needed for production planning, quarterly warehouse counts and reconciliations. Material Planner will plan and schedule the shipments of repro loads to customers and may provide backup to other planners within a site.

 

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Complies with company safety policies/laws.
• Develops master production plan that meets customer needs and optimizes plant performance.
• Monitors inventory levels of WIP for extrusion and beaming to ensure flow through plant is maintained.
• Communicates with Customer Service, capacity planning, product development and the plant, in planning for production, trials, capital upgrades and maintenance.
• Tracks and maintains inventory targets.
• Inputs production orders and tracks production versus plan.
• Ensures adherence to corporate policy and SOX.
• Participates in planning meetings as required.
• Works with operations to ensure adequate production assets are scheduled to meet business needs and adjusts plan as needed.
• Participates in quality controls based on customer needs with Quality and Technical.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
• 1-2 years of related experience and/or training.
• 2-year College diploma or independent learning in a related field preferred.

COMPETENCIES:
LANGUAGE SKILLS
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of suppliers or employees of an organization. Written communication is clear and concise.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret graphs.
REASONING ABILITY
• Self- starter with initiative and accountability; interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team; ability to work in a fast-paced environment; must be able to multi-task, meet deadlines and shift priority workloads while under pressure.
COMPUTER SKILLS
• Effectively utilizes technology to aid in planning, presentation and/or analytical work.
• Above average MS Excel knowledge and ability to manipulate data.
• Ability to navigate complex ERP systems.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office 365, Qantel, WINcc.
