Fabrene Inc. a leader in the manufacturing of woven Polyolefin materials for a wide variety of building, protective, and packaging products.  The North Bay, Ontario plant operates 24/7 and involves a variety of extrusion, plastic and textile processing equipment.  The 400K sq.ft. plant is situtated on 26 acres in beautiful North Eastern Ontario, where outdoor activities are abundant.  A true nature loving and outdoor enthusiast's paradise.

 

The licensed INDUSTRIAL MECHANIC/MILLWRIGHT is an integral part of our Maintenance Team, responsible for the improvement of overall equipment effectiveness and breakdown recovery. As a member of our team, you will take pride in your safety mindset, attention to quality and excellent attendance.

Responsibilities

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Installation and assembly of machinery.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks including repairs.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot malfunctions in machinery.
  • Implement solutions leading to continuous improvement.
  • Welding and fabrication.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Ontario (433A) Industrial Mechanic Millwright License / Certificate of Qualification.
  • Inter-Provincial Red Seal endorsement considered an asset.
  • 3 years’ experience as a Licensed Industrial Mechanic Millwright preferred.
  • Trade experience in the manufacturing sector considered an asset.
  • Experience with Plastic Extrusion processes considered an asset.
  • Machining experience considered an asset.
  • Additional education, training, dual tickets considered assets.
  • Experience with shift work considered an asset.
  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • Legally entitled to work in Canada.

  • Basic computer skills.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, extreme heat, and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.

  • Must be able to work Continental shift work (12 hour Days, 12 hour Nights).
  • Must be willing to respond to call-ins.
