We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Reliability Engineer to join our team at Magnera. The Reliability Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the long-term reliability and performance of our manufacturing systems, equipment, and processes. This role requires a combination of analytical thinking, technical expertise, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to drive improvements in system performance, minimize downtime, and optimize production efficiency.
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reliability Analysis and Improvement:
- Perform reliability analysis on manufacturing equipment and systems to identify potential failure modes and improve system performance. Utilize reliability-centered maintenance (RCM), failure mode effects analysis (FMEA), and other methodologies to enhance operational reliability.
- Maintenance Strategy Development:
Develop, implement, and optimize preventive maintenance (PM) and predictive maintenance (PdM) strategies to extend the life of equipment and reduce unplanned downtime. - Data Analysis and Reporting:
Collect and analyze equipment performance data, failure rates, and maintenance metrics. Provide regular reports and recommendations to management regarding equipment health and performance trends. - Root Cause Analysis (RCA):
Lead root cause analysis investigations for equipment failures or performance issues. Recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence and ensure continuous improvement. - Continuous Improvement Projects:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, maintenance, and quality, to implement continuous improvement initiatives aimed at optimizing equipment reliability and overall manufacturing performance. - System and Equipment Monitoring:
Monitor critical systems and equipment, ensuring that they are operating efficiently. Develop and implement monitoring systems to track and predict potential issues before they impact production. - Risk Management:
Assess and manage risks related to equipment failure and operational reliability. Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards to maintain safe working conditions. - Training and Support:
Provide training and support to maintenance teams on best practices for equipment reliability, troubleshooting techniques, and predictive maintenance tools. - Collaboration:
Work closely with the engineering, operations, and maintenance teams to share knowledge and drive improvements across all facets of manufacturing. - Perform other duties as assigned.
