The Trade Compliance Manager, Americas is responsible for ensuring compliance with domestic and international shipping requirements, customs regulations and trade laws for Magnera’s business in North and South America. This position will have 1-2 direct reports.
Experience
5+ years of experience working in trade compliance in the Americas for a multi-national business. Prior management experience preferred.
Skills
Strong comprehension of trade compliance laws and regulations in the Americas (primarily North America) required. Additional familiarity with trade compliance laws and regulations in South America is preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Programs (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook) and familiarity and comfort maintaining electronic databases and conducting research on the internet. Basic understanding of enterprise resource planning (ERP) software. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including ability to provide clear explanations on complex trade issues. Excellent organization and multitasking skills. High attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. SAP experience a plus.
Education
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from an accredited college or university required with preference to the following courses of study: business/administration, supply chain management, logistics, international trade, international business,.management, finance/accounting or engineering.
Travel approximately 20%.
