The Sr. Sales Director – Personal Care P&G will lead the strategic partnership with Proctor & Gamble (P&G).  This individual will be responsible for owning the full customer relationship, driving top-line revenue growth, optimizing trade spend, and executing joint business plans that align with both company goals and P&G’s commercial priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Account Leadership & Strategy
    • Serve as the primary point of contact and relationship owner to P&G’s national and regional buying teams.
    • Develop and execute the annual joint business plan (JBP), aligning internal stakeholders and cross-functional resources.
    • Translate brand strategy into customer-specific plans and initiatives.
  • Revenue & Growth Management
    • Deliver volume, revenue, and profitability targets for the P&G account.
    • Identify growth opportunities through distribution gains, innovation launches, and promotional optimization.
    • Track, analyze, and report on performance metrics and adjust strategies as needed.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership
    • Collaborate with internal functions including Supply Chain, finance, Trade Marketing, and Category Management to deliver seamless execution.
    • Lead forecasting, promotional planning, and demand planning inputs for the account.
    • Drive internal alignment and communication regarding account priorities, risks, and opportunities.
  • Customer Relationship Management
    • Cultivate long-term, trust-based relationships with key P&G decision-makers.
    • Represent the company at all key meetings, including top-to-top and line reviews.
    • Negotiate contracts, pricing agreements, and promotional funding with integrity and strategic intent.
  • Travel: up to approximately 25%-30% required for customer meetings, team offsites, and corporate functions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing or related field; MBA preferred
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in CPG sales, with at least 3 years managing major national accounts (P&G preferred or equivalent Tier 1 retailer/CPG experience).
  • Proven track record of delivering sales growth and managing P&L responsibilities.

  • Strong analytical and financial acumen with ability to translate data into actionable strategies.
  • Exceptional negotiations and communication skills
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing complexity.
  • Ability to influence cross-functionality and lead without authority.
  • Experience with syndicated data tools (e.g., Nielsen, IRI) and CRM systems.
