Under the direction of the Quality Manager, the Line Cleaner is responsible for performing cleaning duties on two production lines and other areas of the site as required. The work includes, among other things, cleaning the walls, ceilings, floor and effluent section, etc. The candidate may be called upon to perform any other related duties depending on the needs of the department.

Responsibilities

  • Performs heavy cleaning duties such as cleaning floors, washing walls and glass.
  • Operators industrial cleaning equipment such as vacuums, hoses and floor sweepers
  • Follows procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors and fixtures
  • Notifies leadership of occurring deficiencies or needs for repairs.
  • Remove hazardous material in line with safety regulations..
  • Maintains inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment.
  • Performs all tasks in a safe manner, complies with all safety rules. Identifies and reports unsafe operations to the Leadership immediately.
  • Maintains housekeeping expectations.
  • Contributes to waste management programs.
  • Complies with hygiene policy and non-conforming materials procedures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED, required.
  • Two (2) years manufacturing experience, preferred
  • Experience with Forktruck, preferred

  • Ability to stay organized while working in a fast paced environment
  • Demonstrate prioritization and effective time management skills
  • 100% standing/walking, climbing, bending, twisting, reaching
