Magnera is seeking a highly motivated Product Manager to support its Branded Wipes & Industrial segment, which includes the Chicopee and Sontara brands. This role is responsible for leading the development and execution of short- and long-term strategies for assigned product lines. The Product Manager will work closely with segment and functional leaders to ensure strategic alignment, drive profitability, and support business growth.

Responsibilities

Strategic Planning

  • Develop and implement strategic visions for existing, enhanced, and new technologies across product lines.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives to achieve strategic business goals.
  • Identify internal and external business needs and growth opportunities.
  • Develop strategic investment plans in collaboration with other departments.
  • Analyze and communicate market trends, customer demands, and competitor strategies.
  • Provide product assortment and pricing direction for new business opportunities.
  • Attend customer meetings and trade events to stay informed on trends and opportunities.

 

Product Planning & Development

  • Create and execute 1- and 3-year product roadmaps to drive channel effectiveness, profitability, and growth.
  • Define and develop next-generation products in partnership with Sales and other functions.
  • Prioritize technical resources toward high-impact projects.
  • Manage all aspects of new product launches.
  • Monitor competitive activity by product and channel.

 

Product Line Profitability

  • Collaborate cross-functionally on pricing and profitability for new products and customers.
  • Monitor and manage pricing strategies to prevent channel conflict.
  • Lead cost-reduction initiatives and manage mature product performance.
  • Identify and drive changes in equipment and processes to enhance cost position.
  • Work with Supply Chain on raw material trends and cost-saving opportunities.

 

Business Support

  • Partner with Sales leadership to drive growth with current and prospective customers.
  • Collaborate with Marketing on clear product positioning and communication strategies.
  • Manage marketing tools including web content, advertisements, sell sheets, research, and presentations.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to resolve chronic quality issues.
  • Define service needs for new, updated, or discontinued products.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field (required)
  • 3–5 years of experience in Product Management, Finance, or Sales (preferred)
  • Experience in specialty wipes products (preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of product management strategy and new product development
  • Skilled in analytical tools to assess customer and market needs and align them with business capabilities
  • Proven ability to translate strategy into actionable sales tactics
  • Strong collaboration skills with both Sales and functional teams
  • Ability to lead without direct authority; team-oriented mindset
  • Solid understanding of cross-functional business areas: Sales, Finance, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Sourcing, and Logistics
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications
  • Excellent communication, organization, and meeting facilitation skills
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure
  • Willingness to travel 20–30%
