Magnera Corporation is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Intern to join our Corporate Accounting team. This internship offers the opportunity to gain practical experience in financial reporting, consolidation, and internal controls within a dynamic, fast-paced global organization. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, eager to learn, and ready to apply classroom knowledge to real-world accounting challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the monthly close and consolidation process, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis.
  • Support preparation of internal management reporting and financial statement review.
  • Participate in intercompany reconciliations and help ensure alignment across global subsidiaries.
  • Contribute to process improvement and system enhancement projects.
  • Assist with audit requests and internal control documentation.
  • Collaborate with finance professionals across multiple teams and functions.

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Completion of intermediate-level accounting courses preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is a plus.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
