Lead Operator-Team C-Day Shift

The Lead Operator  has the qualifications and business acumen to assist the Shift Leader with day-to-day operations of the Delta Line. Temporarily cover the shift leader in the instance of their absence, not to include displinary functions. The ideal candidate will monitor equipment through SCADA and our camera system, make minor adjustments as necessary ensuring all adjustments are withing Centerline requirements.This individual will lead by example pertaining to Safety, Quality, Production and Cost.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Monitor all systems and employees during production and downtime events
• Computer software understanding
• Accurately record downtime events
• Ensure correct recipes are loaded and adjust within Centerlines.
• Start/Stop Paper Machine as necessary for safety, quality, and production reasons
• Track defects and investigate to identify possible source(s) to correct/prevent recurrence
• Communicate with team members as needed to ensure good quality product, including a shift hand-off with previous and oncoming operator on shift review and planning
• Ensures the team has tools needed for the job requirements
• Maintain housekeeping in Control Room areas and assits with forming cleaning tasks
• Dryer blowout cleaning
• Coordinates and assists the Process Engineer with line and process troubleshooting and/or improvements
• Input work notifications on equipment repairs
• Machine walkthrough twice per shift monitoring the product and the people
• Other Duties as assigned

Leadership Responsibilities

• Good communication, work with each team member to understand issues with the product and team
• Record attendance in the log
• Contact operators for overtime when needed to help cover open positions
• Supports company policies and procedures and assists with training when needed

Education/Experience 

• 1-3 years manufacturing experience preferred
• 1-3 years leadership experience preferred
