PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT
The physical demands and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Physical demands: Employee must have 20/20 vision corrected in both eyes, to discern various color graphics and color matches. Employee must be able to work rotating 12 hour shifts. Employee must be qualified to operate powered industrial trucks and pass Forklift License Program. Employee must be able to climb, bend, stoop and crawl. Employee must be able to lift up to 35 pounds repeatedly and 50 pounds occasionally. Required to frequently ascend and descend up to three flights of stairs over extremely fast moving machinery. Required to safely access fast moving machinery which includes rolls with inward nip points.
Work environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time; dust; heat; humidity, odors. The noise level in the work environment varies and hearing protection is required in some work areas. The employee is frequently exposed to extremely high-speed machinery with open inward turning rolls, extremely hot surface areas and moving lift truck traffic.
