Responsibilities

JOB SUMMARY:

Under general supervision, execute testing procedures for both finished products and in-process evaluations. Deliver the resulting data to the Manufacturing, Process Engineering, and Product Development teams as mandated by specifications or as directed by management.  The ideal candidate should be a collaborative team player, capable of making decisions under pressure while working with a diverse group of individuals. Flexibility to accommodate various shifts is essential.

 

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • All tasks must be performed safely and in accordance with established ISO procedures. Utilize control charts, histograms, and other Statistical Process Control (SPC) tools and measurements effectively, and recommend improvements based on statistical data and observations
  • Operate all diagnostic equipment to fulfill job responsibilities.
  • Assist with Calibration and Material Systems Analysis (MSA) of test equipment where required.
  • Coordinate with Quality Leadership, Quality Engineer, Shift Supervisor, Line Leader, Production Technician, Process Engineer, and other Operations team members to resolve issues or discrepancies.
  • Actively participate in safety, product, and compliance audits
  • Accurately enter data into Quality Windows, analyze the data, and report trends that may indicate process issues.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives for the QA and Operations teams.
  • Communicate effectively with internal customers as well as co-workers to solve problems and enhance capabilities of the team
  • Provide training to others as needed.
  • Fulfill additional duties as assigned, including active participation in root cause analysis and corrective actions stemming from Customer Issues and Internal Non-Conformances.
  • Promote awareness of customer requirements throughout the organization and ensure familiarity with product specifications and tolerances.
  • Meet production output requirements in a timely manner, while adhering to all departmental rules, regulations, and procedures.
  • Perform other assigned duties as necessary.

Qualifications

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  1. Education: A High School Diploma or equivalent is required, while an undergraduate degree in a related field is preferred.
  2. Experience: At least 2 years of manufacturing experience.

 

 

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Job functions will be carried out in the Quality Lab and the Production area.

 

EFFORT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Candidates must be able to lift to 25 pounds occasionally.
  • The role requires the ability to prioritize work effectively and make informed decisions.
  • Proficiency in reading charts, documenting numbers, and recording events both on paper and digitally is necessary.
  • Candidates should also be able to interpret electrical indicators and laboratory equipment readings.
  • Following written and verbal instructions is crucial.
  • Additionally, the candidate should understand the group's objectives and be able to interact with both digital and basic computerized record and control systems.
