Responsibilities

  • Verifies and maintains accuracy of perpetual inventory records and Tool Crib inventory transactions.
  • Conducts weekly/monthly cycle counts
  • Generation of new part numbers for the Tool Crib
  • Identify and drive disposition of obsolete and slow-moving inventory.
  • Maintains tool crib area in an organized, orderly fashion
  • Administrative support to scheduler/ buyer.
  • Will be responsible for administration of CMMS System & assist in setup/use of system at future date.
  • Assures accuracy spare parts inventory records.
  • Maintains responsibility for inventory tracking
  • Maintains records and plans for preventive maintenance shutdown activities.
  • Assists in technical training of maintenance staff.
  • Maintains records for machine data.
  • Actively participates during preventive maintenance shutdowns in areas where trained.
  • Negotiate with suppliers regarding the price and delivery of Repair & Maintenance Items.
  • Prepare reports and make recommendations on reducing the total cost of maintenance.
  • Prepares, submits and tracks tool crib/maintenance requisitions and ensures proper receiving of parts into Tool Crib by working with receiving suppliers for accurate description of parts

Qualifications

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

 

  • High School Diploma Required
  • At least 2 years’ manufacturing experience.
  • Must be able to read, write and communicate in English

 

WORKING CONDITIONS:

 

  • The area may or may not be air conditioned or heated and may be humid and hot or cold depending on seasonal conditions.
  • Exposure to hot and/or abrasive surfaces.
  • Required to be in tight spaces on occasion and to heights daily.
  • Possible exposure to noise levels over 90 decibels for 8 hours at certain locations.
  • Moving machinery or moving objects on the production floor.
  • Exposure to chemicals which may cause eye or skin irritation and/or bums, and irritation to respiratory system.
  • Exposure to static electricity on occasion.
  • Exposure to and use of sharp implements at times.
  • Exposure to outside elements on occasion.

 

 

EFFORT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

 

  • Must have 20/20 vision corrected in both eyes, to discern various color graphics and color matches.
  • Must be qualified to operate powered industrial trucks and pass Forklift License Program.
  • Must be able to climb, bend, stoop and crawl.
  • Must be able to lift to 35 pounds without assistance.
  • Required to frequently ascend and descend up to three flights of stairs over extremely fast-moving machinery.
  • Required to safely access fast moving machinery which includes rolls with inward nip points.
