JOB SUMMARY:

The Product Stewardship & Compliance Specialist supports global regulatory, compliance and product stewardship initiatives and requirements. This role focuses on data collection, reporting and process support for product stewardship programs, product compliance documentation, and supply chain due diligence. The position will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance requirements are met and help maintain/oversee accurate records and reporting systems.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and interpret global regulations related to product safety, raw materials, labeling, and product stewardship.
  • Assist in monitoring global regulations and updating internal compliance databases.
  • Support preparation of product documentation (e.g., SDS, declarations, certifications).
  • respond to regulatory related customer inquiries with standardized information. Help develop and maintain standardized responses for recurring requests
  • Provide support for customer activities, authority visits and audits as required.Vet raw materials and new products for compliance with applicable laws and internal policies.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to track compliance testing and reporting timelines.
  • Collect and maintain compliance data for EPR programs and regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Assist in supplier due diligence assessments and data collection. Implement and maintain programs aligned with global regulations (e.g., EU Supply Chain Act, LKSG, CSDDD, EUDR).
  • Assist and contribute to process improvements and compliance-related projects.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field; Master’s preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in product compliance or stewardship within manufacturing/related industries.
  • Knowledge of global regulatory frameworks and stewardship (EPR, food contact materials, product safety, supply chain due diligence).
  • Familiarity with compliance tools and platforms (e.g., Sphera) and ISO standards (ISO 14001, ISO 9001).
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage data accurately.
  • Proficiency in MS Office; ability to learn compliance tools quickly.
  • Good communication and organizational skills; collaborative mindset.
  • Fluency in Spanish and English; additional languages (German, French) are a plus.
