Responsibilities

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensures Quality Lab area is compliant with all Safety and 5S requirements.
  • Develop and maintain quality systems and processes to ensure adherence to regulatory and customer requirements
  • Analyze quality metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Work closely with site Process Engineering team to develop and maintain SPC strategy for the site.
  • Manages Quality System task associated with new product launches or change at the site.
  • Manages suspect non-conforming material process and supports disposition of suspect material with MRB team.
  • Work with site Warehouse team and customers to manage raw material and finished product release processes and ensures material meets internal/external specifications; address any customer/supplier concerns, issues related to material/product release
  • Problem solving issues that impact customer service, including expediting material and raising awareness.
  • Assists in site audits of processes pertaining to planning, product, pest control, etc.
  • Manages all site equipment calibration schedule, records inside and outside the lab including supply inventory management for the lab
  • Coordinate site-level test equipment validations and customer co-op activities.
  • Back-up for QA Manager for customer related issues
  • Daily monitoring and communicating lab test equipment abnormalities, issues, and/or concerns to Quality and cross-functional members (including temperature and humidity controls)
  • Provide training and support to production team on quality control processes and procedures
  • Manages communication on safety, quality, process, operations, and/or any changes to the lab
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and organized Quality Lab Area using 5S.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

 

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience: 1+ year of experience in a lab or manufacturing environment but not required. Computer literacy essential; particularly Microsoft Office, Outlook, Teams, Excel and Word.    Experience with Minitab software, Quality Windows, and SAP a plus.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or above in a related field required.
