Responsibilities

  • Ensure all raw material deliveries (fiber bales, rolled goods, spunbond, pallets, corrugate, etc.) arrive at the main plant on schedule from the Distribution Center.
  • Coordinate daily staging and readiness of ORM materials based on scheduled production and equipment code changes.
  • Oversee inbound and outbound MRO shipments for repair and restock, including scheduling with external vendors and internal departments.
  • Monitor and coordinate timely outbound finished goods transfers to the DC using site yard equipment and designated logistics personnel.
  • Work closely with planners from both the main production lines and converting areas (Hudson Sharp, Bretting, and Tishma automation lines) to ensure material alignment with production schedules.
  • Serve as the point-of-contact for all logistics activities at the main plant, maintaining visibility to urgent needs, delays, and critical shipments.
  • Collaborate with distribution center personnel to align transportation timing, quantities, and material accuracy.
  • Reduce daily material availability issues and eliminate fire-drill situations through proactive communication and scheduling.
  • Track inventory staging and update locations in system to reflect accurate movement and readiness.
  • Assist in continuous improvement initiatives related to material flow, staging efficiency, and downtime prevention.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; associate’s degree in logistics, supply chain, or related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in logistics, materials coordination, or production planning in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, material handling equipment, and basic inventory management systems.
  • Experience working with planners and production schedulers in high-throughput environments.
  • Proactive communication and strong problem-solving skills under time-sensitive conditions.
  • Must be self-directed and highly reliable, capable of coordinating multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with converting lines and nonwoven production equipment a plus.
