Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Operational Coordination

  • Lead and manage a network of Buyers across EU sites.
  • Coordinate day-to-day procurement activities, ensuring timely purchase order execution and material availability.
  • Act as the main escalation point for operational issues such as supply shortages, delays, and production risks.
  • Ensure alignment and consistency across sites in procurement execution and supplier communication.
  • Drive performance through KPIs including service level, supply continuity, inventory health, and responsiveness.
  • Provide coaching, development, and guidance to enhance team effectiveness and collaboration.
  • Foster coordination between Procurement, Planning, and Supply Chain teams at site level.

Procurement Execution & Supply Assurance

  • Ensure uninterrupted supply of raw materials to support continuous manufacturing operations.
  • Oversee purchase order execution, demand adjustments, and supplier follow-up to mitigate risks.
  • Monitor and manage operational procurement activities including delivery schedules, inventory levels, and consumption patterns.
  • Ensure adherence to supplier allocation strategies and sourcing frameworks defined at central level.
  • Support implementation of sourcing decisions, contracts, and pricing frameworks across sites.
  • Manage and resolve day-to-day supply chain disruptions impacting production.

Technology Alignment & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Act as the key procurement representative for a group of technologies across European sites.
  • Ensure alignment between procurement execution and technical requirements of production and product specifications.
  • Collaborate closely with Innovation, Product Development, Quality, Regulatory and Operations teams on:
    • New material qualifications
    • Product or process changes
    • Supplier onboarding and validation
  • Support implementation of technical projects and material changes across sites.
  • Ensure standardization and consistency in material usage and practices across the network.

Process Governance & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies, contracts, and governance frameworks.
  • Maintain alignment with centrally defined sourcing strategies, pricing structures, and supplier agreements.
  • Monitor adherence to allocation rules, consumption guidelines, and procurement controls.
  • Drive standardization of procurement processes across all sites assigned.
  • Support reporting, audits, and performance tracking activities.

Supplier & Market Coordination

  • Coordinate with key suppliers to ensure smooth execution and issue resolution.
  • Support supplier performance monitoring including delivery reliability and responsiveness.
  • Maintain awareness of market dynamics in key raw materials supply (availability, lead times, volatility) and escalate risks proactively.
  • Collaborate with central procurement teams to ensure effective implementation of supplier strategies at site level.

Qualifications

  • Education or relevant professional experience in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or related roles.
  • Proven capability or initial experience in team management or coordination of cross-functional teams.
  • Exposure to direct materials procurement, preferably within manufacturing environments.
  • Basic understanding of supplier markets and dynamics for raw materials.
  • Experience in supplier negotiation and relationship management.
  • Familiarity with procurement systems and ERP platforms (SAP, Oracle, Dynamics or similar).
  • Fluency in English (mandatory); Spanish, German, or French is a plus.
  • Strong coordination, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a multi-site, cross-functional environment with a hands-on and operational mindset.
