Responsibilities

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure team compliance with all safety procedures related to tooling, equipment, and cleaning processes. 
  • Lead safety audits, training, and continuous improvement initiatives. 
  • Enforce safe work practices and stop unsafe work when necessary. .

Die Maintenance & Repair

  • Oversee routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance on tooling and dies. 
  • Ensure proper inspection, repair, and reassembly of tooling. 
  • Monitor tooling condition and ensure adherence to tolerance and quality standards. 

 

Setup & Changeovers

Lead and coordinate die installation, removal, and changeovers. 

·         Ensure proper alignment and process readiness. 

·         Drive continuous improvement in changeover efficiency. 

Troubleshooting & Technical Support

  • Lead root cause analysis of tooling issues. 
  • Serve as a primary technical resource for production teams. 
  • Drive corrective and preventive actions. 

 

Preventive & Predictive Maintenance

  • Oversee preventive and predictive maintenance programs. 
  • Prioritize maintenance based on risk and production needs. 
  • Analyze tooling performance data. 

 

  • Lead, mentor, and develop technicians.
  • Coordinate daily maintenance activities.
  • Ensure adherence to procedures and safety standards.
  • Drive accountability for performance and results.

  • Lead, mentor, and develop technicians.

Qualifications

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
REQUIRED:
• High school diploma or GED. 
• 5+ years of tool & die maintenance experience. 
• Demonstrated leadership experience. 
• Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills. 
 
PREFERRED:
• Experience working specifically with Spunbond (bico/mono) and Meltblown dies.
• Technical degree or certification in Tool & Die, Industrial Maintenance, or related field.
• Knowledge of polymer flow, extrusion processes, or nonwoven manufacturing principles.
• Certification in lifting equipment and powered industrial vehicles.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
• Manufacturing environment conditions may vary. 
• Flexible schedule including weekends as needed. 
 
EFFORT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
• Ability to work around hot equipment and chemicals used for die cleaning.
• Requires prolonged sitting and frequent bending, stooping and stretching, manual dexterity. 
• The ability to occasional lift and carry of up to 50 pounds. 
• Required to occasionally ascend and descend up to three flights of stairs over extremely fast-moving machinery.  
• Required to safely access fast moving machinery, which includes rolls with inward nip points. 
• Ability to work outside normal scheduled working hours when needed in a 24/7/365 operation.
