Responsibilities

About the Role

Schedule: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM | 2-2-3 Rotating Schedule

We are seeking an experienced Night Shift Production Supervisor to lead manufacturing operations in a heavy industrial nonwoven manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for ensuring a safe, productive, and efficient work environment while driving performance in safety, quality, production, equipment reliability, and employee engagement.

What You'll Do

Lead Safe Operations

  • Promote a strong safety-first culture.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Conduct safety inspections and audits.
  • Participate in emergency response activities and maintain required certifications.

Drive Production Performance

  • Lead shift operations to meet production, quality, and efficiency goals.
  • Monitor equipment performance and coordinate troubleshooting efforts to minimize downtime.
  • Communicate production priorities and schedule changes to team members.
  • Conduct shift handoff meetings and support daily operational planning.

Ensure Product Quality

  • Monitor product quality throughout production.
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards and operating procedures.
  • Support investigations and corrective actions related to quality issues and customer concerns.

Develop and Lead a High-Performing Team

  • Coach, mentor, and develop hourly production employees.
  • Provide performance feedback and accountability.
  • Support hiring, training, performance management, and employee development.
  • Foster teamwork, communication, and continuous improvement.

Support Continuous Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to improve safety, quality, productivity, and cost performance.
  • Lead waste reduction and process improvement initiatives.
  • Promote workplace organization and operational excellence practices.

Qualifications

Required

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a manufacturing environment and manage multiple priorities.

Preferred

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree.
  • Manufacturing leadership experience within a heavy industrial nonwoven manufacturing environment, or related continuous-process industries such as textiles, paper, or converting, strongly preferred.
  • SAP experience.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.

  • Exposure to noise, temperature variations, dust, fibers, and other manufacturing conditions.
