Product Development Specialist, Films Innovation

The Product Development Specialist, Films Innovation is responsible for developing and commercializing innovative film-based solutions that support customer needs and business growth. Working as an individual contributor within the Global Innovation organization, this role leads technical projects from concept through commercialization. The position focuses on breathable films, non-breathable films, elastic films, laminated structures, resin formulation, and related film technologies.

· Lead technical innovation and product development projects from concept through commercialization.

· Develop and optimize resin formulations, multilayer film structures, and manufacturing processes.

· Design and execute laboratory, pilot-scale, customer, and commercial manufacturing trials.

· Provide hands-on technical expertise in breathable, non-breathable, elastic, and laminated film structures.

· Apply advanced knowledge of blown film extrusion, cast film extrusion, printing, lamination, and converting processes.

· Evaluate polymers, additives, adhesives, pigments, fillers, coatings, and other materials to improve performance and cost competitiveness.

· Utilize DOE, statistical analysis, and structured problem-solving methodologies to drive technical decisions.

· Analyze physical, thermal, rheological, barrier, optical, and mechanical performance data.

· Support manufacturing scale-up, process capability development, and commercialization readiness activities.

· Work directly with customers to understand requirements, validate performance, troubleshoot issues, and identify innovation opportunities.

· Prepare technical reports, recommendations, invention disclosures, and project updates.

· Bachelor degree required in Engineering, Polymer Science, Materials Science, Chemistry, or related discipline.

· 5+ years of relevant experience in films, polymer processing, flexible materials, or related industries.

· Experience with blown film extrusion and/or cast film extrusion required.

· Experience with printing, lamination, multilayer structures, and resin formulation required.

· Strong customer-facing technical skills and project leadership capabilities.
